21st Annual Italian Festival

The festival features food, vendors, handmade crafts, exhibits by cultural organizations, music, dance, poetry and much more for the entire family to enjoy! The Italian Experience has grown to be a popular Long Island tradition, celebrating Italy's gifts of culture, education and commerce to America.

New to the Festival’s entertainment lineup is entertainer, singer and percussionist John Ciotta, who is known for wowing audiences with songs of Italy past and present. Returning acts include the Long Island Mandolin and Guitar Orchestra; “Pop-era,” featuring members of The Bronx Opera Company; Katie’s Puppets; Gary the Magician; the Italian-American Poets and Writers Piazza; and The San Remo Duo.

Each year Hofstra's Italian festival draws thousands of people from the tristate area. Unlike any other Italian festival, the Hofstra celebration emphasizes the many Italian contributions to American culture. The festival includes concerts, dancers, singers, native food, wine tasting and more than 50 arts and craft vendors.

Admission to the Festival is $7; $5 for senior citizens; children under 12 are admitted free. Hofstra students, faculty, and staff are admitted free upon presentation of a current Hofstra Card.
