2021 Model United Nations Conference
Hofstra’s annual Model United Nations Conference is run by senior Hofstra political science students and Hofstra faculty. Groups of high school groups (Model UN clubs or junior or senior classes from regional high schools) are invited to participate. The opening ceremonies at a Model United Nations Conference are the ceremonial kick-off to three-day round of negotiating, drafting, discussions, and research. This year, however, the opening ceremony will be a pre-recorded video that will be instructed to be watched prior to the start of committee session I.
The closing ceremony in a Model United Nations Conference is the culmination of three days' work negotiating, drafting resolutions and resolving conflicts. This year, the closing ceremony will also be a prerecorded video that will be uploaded after the conference is over and will showcase the awards as well as summarize the conference.
