Documentary Mondays: John Lewis: Good Trouble
Hofstra Cultural Center and the Office of the Dean of Students present Documentary Mondays and "Never Forget" Talk Back Series. Join Professor Katrina Sims and Dean of Students Gabrielle St. Léger as they host the first in a series of documentaries on three Mondays titled “Documentary Mondays”. Each scheduled Monday will feature a documentary, which will be the foundation to further discussion examining the theme of the night. With the upcoming elections,the first documentary, John Lewis: Good Trouble gives an intimate account of legendary U.S. Representative John Lewis' life, legacy and more than 60 years of extraordinary activism - from the bold teenager on the front lines of the Civil Rights movement to the legislative powerhouse. The theme for the virtual Talk Back discussion will focus on civic engagement and the importance of voting.
