Invisible Prisons
The Osler Society Medicine in Theater Group presents a performance of Invisible Prisons, a play written by Joy Snihur Wyatt Laking. The play consists of 13 impactful monologues based on true stories of domestic violence, each performed by a medical student, faculty or staff member. The performance will be followed by a debrief/discussion and Q/A with Santhosh Paulus, MD, Northwell Health System Task Force Leader for the Human Trafficking Response Program, Leslie Rosenberg, LCSW, a Behavioral Health Consultant specializing in working with victims of domestic/ intimate partner violence and Dana Kaplan, MD, FAAP, Director of Child Abuse and Neglect as well as the Associate Program Director for the Residency Training Program for the Department of Pediatrics at Staten Island University Hospital, and the Medical Director of the Staten Island Child Advocacy Center.
