Students will be able to join in the live chat or tune in to our YouTube channel to view the conversation at a later time. This week's program will feature Heather McTavish (Hofstra, Class of 2010), Creative Director at VIRTUE Worldwide.

More about Heather: After seeing Helen Hunt concept the Nike pitch in “What Women Want,” Heather “McT” McTavish dreamed about being a Creative, the way that most kids dream of being professional athletes. McT is known for breaking formats and pushing the boundaries of branded content. Her leadership can be seen in her relentless pursuit of visibility for the overlooked in media, specifically for both women and gay women alike-- reinforcing the belief, you cannot be what you cannot see. While at Google’s Social Lab, she concepted Google’s “Know Nearby” campaign that challenged the conventions of how marketers drive product trial. Since joining VIRTUE, she’s worked on Dove Men+Care’s cultural initiative, concepting and then directing “Dear Future” a platform provoking modern masculinity and advocating for paid paternity leave. For the last 2 years McT has been the Creative Director on Bushmills, where she has broken the current mold of whiskey advertising by showing Bushmills as real Irish. This year she was behind the launch of P&G's new diaper brand, All Good, targeted at Gen Z parents. The launch disrupted the category by choosing to reflect the realities of modern parenthood instead of common tropes. Much to the dismay of her clients, she always recommends shooting on film.
