Building Family Resiliency During COVID-19
How can parents, grandparents, and other family members have validating conversations about missed milestones with children, teens, and young adults (ie. athletic events, graduation ceremonies, proms), and other disappointments as a result of the social distancing mandated by the COVID-19 crisis?
Explore how this challenging time might provide opportunities to strengthen family bonds and help a family unit emerge with a better understanding and deeper respect for one another.
Two leaders from Hofstra's Joan and Arnold Saltzman Community Services Center will lead the conversation: Executive Director Joseph Scardapane, PhD, who also serves as the Director of the Psychological Evaluation, Research and Counseling Clinic, and Teresa Grella-Hillebrand, LMFT, Director of the Counseling and Mental Health Professions Clinic.
