2020 Hofstra Student Art Exhibition and Awards Ceremony: Tooth and Nail

Hofstra University Student Art Exhibition and Awards ceremony. Awards will be presented in the following categories: painting, 2D and 3D design, ceramics, photography and sculpture as well as, our annual Guest Juror Award.  This year our guest juror is Frances Pharr.

 

Frances Pharr is NYC-based artist, designer and educator, Frances works in digital, print and experiential media. She received an MFA in Communications Design from Pratt Institute in 2012 and a BA from Hampshire College in 2003. She is interested in value systems, critical pedagogies, and crossovers between teaching, learning, and design practice.  She has worked as a designer and art director at Interbrand NY and experiential agency Sub Rosa and has been a guest lecturer and critic at Princeton University and MICA. She currently freelances at The New School and is teaching design at RISD and in Pratt's MFA Communications Design program.

PARKING NOTICE

Hofstra University is pleased to have the public join us for some of our on-campus events, which are held for the benefit of our students. Please be aware, when attending events during the school year, when classes are in session, parking is often limited on South Campus to faculty and students. There is additional parking available on North Campus, approximately a 10-minute walk from Adams Playhouse, through the Student Center and over the unispan. Thank you for your cooperation.
