Join us for a screening of Joe Wright’s Anna Karenina (2012) starring Keira Knightley, with a screenplay by playwright Tom Stoppard. Anna Karenina & Chill, a virtual Netflix viewing and discussion with Dean Rifkin is presented by Hofstra Honors College with Special Guests Dean Frisina, Elizabeth Horishny, Audra Nemirow, and Gillian Greene.

Date: Saturday, April 25, 2020

Time: 7:00 p.m. Screening will be followed by a a post-film discussion at 9:15 p.m. 

Participants must have access to either Netflix (free) or Amazon Prime ($3.99) to stream the movie.  We will begin simultaneously, run a chat room via ZOOM while it’s playing (participation is voluntary -- not everyone likes talking during movies), and hold a post movie discussion in ZOOM. Dean Rifkin will be on the zoom chat to answer any questions about Russian culture.
