Zarb's 5th Annual Speech Competition

About: The Zarb Accounting Graduate Association (ZAGA) is providing an excellent opportunity for students to refine their public speaking skills and enhance their resume! The competition is open to all Zarb students including undergraduate and graduate. Due to concerns surrounding the Coronavirus, ZAGA has decided to move the competition to online. Note speeches are limited to a maximum of 3 minutes long and must be on a topic other than your major (e.g., a hobby, a comic act, sports, etc.). If presenting, you must dress in professional attire. If you have any questions or concerns about the Speech Competition, please feel free to contact the Zarb Accounting Graduate Association at Please note only one Professor is eligible to give you extra credit for participation.

Prizes from the Hofstra University Bookstore will be awarded to Winners along with a Winner's Certificate. In addition, all participants will be receive with Certificates of Participation.

Submit Your Hofstra Event

Hofstra University is pleased to have the public join us for some of our on-campus events, which are held for the benefit of our students. Please be aware, when attending events during the school year, when classes are in session, parking is often limited on South Campus to faculty and students. There is additional parking available on North Campus, approximately a 10-minute walk from Adams Playhouse, through the Student Center and over the unispan. Thank you for your cooperation.
