NPHW 2020: Grand Annual Audiology Debate: Pros and Cons of Tele-Audiology Virtual Event

Tele-health is the use of technology to diagnose and sometimes treat health conditions remotely. This topic has seen increasing interest in recent years from both professionals and patients alike. Advantages of using tele-health include instant communication with professionals and the ability to reach remote/rural areas with less access to healthcare facilities. Challenges to implementation include non-uniform protocols of administration and possibility of misuse by untrained staff. This student-led debate, relevant to the NPHW 2020 theme of ‘Looking back, moving forward’, will explore both sides of this important and timely topic.

Free and open to the public.
