Cancelled--In Conversation... with Custodial Workers and Food Service Workers at Hofstra University

This event is cancelled.

In Conversation … at the Center for “Race, Culture and Social Justice is a featured program of roundtable discussions around everyday issues that involve race and social justice, and that directly impact the Hofstra community. The aim is to create a space for conversation "and to bridge the gap" between staff, students, faculty, and administrators of all ranks, giving an equal voice to everyone.

Facilitated by Mary Anne Trasciatti (Professor of Writing Studies and Rhetoric)

The Hofstra labor force is more than faculty, office staff, and administrators. Scores of employees work hard in other ways to ensure that the campus runs smoothly every day. Join us for the inaugural In Conversation … at the Center for “Race” Series with custodial and food service workers and learn about the challenges they face working at our campus and living on Long Island.

Co-sponsored by the Labor Studies Program and the Hofstra Student Worker Coalition

Refreshments will be served at 11:00 am in Roosevelt 203 followed by a roundtable discussion in Roosevelt 201.
