Fall 2020 International Student Orientation

International Student Orientation for students beginning their program in Fall 2020 will take place from Monday, August 24 through Thursday, August 27, 2020. All new international students must attend this required orientation. Detailed information about orientation will be emailed to the Hofstra email address of accepted students whose I-20 or DS-2019 has been issued.

International Student Orientation provides important information about the Hofstra campus, immigration regulations, staying healthy and safe, academic requirements and the many campus services available to help you succeed and have a great experience at Hofstra. During orientation you will have the opportunity to get your Hofstra ID card and participate in many events, trips, and activities that will prepare you to become a member of the Hofstra community.

The official day for new international students to move into the residence halls is Sunday, August 23, 2020. If you will be living on campus, you may report directly to your assigned residence hall on Sunday, August 23, 2020 between the hours of 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. for move-in. New international students living off campus are not required to report to campus on Sunday, August 23, 2020 and may go directly to International Student Orientation check-in on Monday, August 24, 2020.

Please be aware, when attending events during the school year, when classes are in session, parking is often limited on South Campus to faculty and students. There is additional parking available on North Campus, approximately a 10-minute walk from Adams Playhouse, through the Student Center and over the unispan. Thank you for your cooperation.
