Individually Intersex, The Voices of a Hidden Community

Join us for an evening of Art, Narrative Medicine and compelling conversation featuring artist/animator, blogger, intersex activist and international speaker, Emily Quinn.  Learn what it means to be intersex, and hear how Emily and others are working to remove the stigma and secrecy surrounding intersex people, and to inform the way care is provided to the intersex community.  Program sponsored by the Humanities in Medicine Program, Office of Diversity and Inclusion, in conjunction with Northwell Health’s Center for Equity of Care, Northwell Health Division of Medical Ethics, the Zucker School of Medicine OUTMed student group, the Urology Interest Group, and Hofstra University’s Intercultural Engagement & Inclusion and LGBTQ+ Studies Program, and the Feinstein Institute Diversity Council.  All are welcome with RSVP.
