The Rosenberg Gallery: Daniel Giordano Exhibition

The Hofstra Department of Fine Arts, Design, Art History presents Hermetic Perversions: A Charming Night With Vicki Vermicelli exhibition by Daniel Giordano. Artist Daniel Giordano's sculptures tell multiple stories, so many stories they’ve become one, freaky, fragmented tale: the detritus of the Hudson River, preserved cheesecake crusts from his Italian aunt, deep-fried baseball bats, fizzy-sugared Orange Tang all help to form a repertoire of relentless wonder that is his vision.

Daniel Giordano was born in Poughkeepsie, NY. He earned his MFA from the University of Delaware. Daniel has had solo exhibitions at Uffizi, Cold Spring, NY; Wil Aballe Art Projects, BC, Canada; and Sardine, Brooklyn, NY. Group exhibitions include Mother, Beacon, NY; Baba Yaga, Hudson, NY; Gazebo, Brooklyn, NY; and Morgan Lehman, New York, NY. Daniel's work has been featured in The New York Times, Cultured Magazine, Art Spiel, Canadian Art, and Chronogram. Additionally, Daniel Giordano co-founded and runs Vicki, an exhibition space in Newburgh, NY, where he lives and works.

There will be an opening reception on January 19 from 2-3 p.m. in Rosenberg Gallery followed by an Artist Talk in Calkins Hall room 115 on January 29 from 3-4 p.m.
