CAA Quarterfinal: Hofstra Volleyball vs. Delaware

The Hofstra volleyball team will look to defend its Colonial Athletic Association title this week as the Pride plays hosts to the CAA Championship this Friday-Sunday. Hofstra will host the CAA Championship at the David S. Mack Physical Education Center starting on Friday. Quarterfinal play will feature the #4 Northeastern and #5 Elon facing each other at 4 p.m. and then #3 Hofstra and #6 Delaware playing at 7 p.m. Top-seeded Towson will play the winner of the first quarterfinal in the semifinals on Saturday at 2 p.m. and second-seeded James Madison will face the Hofstra/Delaware winner at 5 p.m. The championship match is slated for 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 24. Admission to the championship is free of charge. All matches in the tournament will air on FloVolleyball. 

There will be live video of all of the Pride's matches via FloVolleyball and Pride Productions will provide an audio only broadcast via WRHU (88.7 FM). Links to all, including the live statistics, can be found on this page as well as the volleyball schedule page at 

Hofstra will be looking for its fifth CAA Championship and 10th NCAA Tournament appearance. The Pride previously advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2006, 2012, 2014, and last year. Hofstra's CAA titles have occurred in 2006, 2012, 2014, and 2018. 

Hofstra brings a 17-11 overall record into the tournament and went 10-6 in CAA play during the regular season. The Pride and the Blue Hens split the season series with Hofstra earning a sweep in Newark on October 18 and Delaware returning the favor with a five-set win in both team's last match on Sunday. 

Delaware is 14-13 and went 6-10 in league action this year.
