Hofstra Jazz Ensemble: The Annual Peter B. Clark Memorial Scholarship Fund Concert

The Hofstra Music Department presents Hofstra Jazz Ensemble performing By Virtue of the Blues under the direction of Professor of Music David LalamaBy Virtue of the Blues features Harlem’s own, singer Tina Fabrique from Broadway musicals: Noise/Funk, Ragtime and others…and straight dramatic roles such as: Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Glass Menagerie and The Old Settler. Presented in collaboration with the Hofstra Cultural Center series The Legacy 1619-2019, a series focusing on the 400th anniversary of the arrival of the first enslaved African to the ongoing experience of African Americans.

Tickets: $10 general admission; $8 senior citizen (over 65); Two free tickets with current HofstraCard.
