Dean's Business Scholar's - Company Visit: Intelligent Product Solution (IPS)

On November 8, 2019, Dean’s Business Scholars have the opportunity to meet with an alumni Hofstra entrepreneur and tour Intelligent Product Solutions (IPS) in Hauppauge organized by the Center for Entrepreneurship. Space is extremely limited. A bus will take students from Hofstra to the company visit and then return to campus. The tour will be approximately an hour and a half long. The maximum number of students eligible to attend the company visit is 10, however, we will have a waiting list. Students are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Intelligent Product Solutions (IPS): IPS was founded in 2008 by Mitch Maiman and Paul Severino, former executives of Symbol Technologies (now Zebra Technologies).  As engineers with roots in product engineering and manufacturing, their goal was to build a product design and engineering services company to provide clients with a single source solution for concepts, industrial design, mechanical engineering, embedded software and systems architecture, mobile and enterprise application software, optical engineering and UXUI design. The staff has grown to more than 100 designers and engineers in just over 10 years, providing the full-service end to end development that was part of the founders’ vision.  Students will meet Mitch Maiman, President of IPS and Hofstra alumni, and 2019 “Master of Innovation.”
