Welcome Convocation

The first scheduled event after check-in for all students and family members is the Welcome Convocation at 2:45 p.m. in the David S. Mack Arena. Join Hofstra University President Stuart Rabinowitz and other University leaders as they welcome new students and families to the Hofstra community. All students should plan to be present at this event to kick off Welcome Week 2019.

Note to parents and families: Before the Convocation, please say goodbye to your student. Students will sit together and apart from their families. After Convocation, students follow their Welcome Week Leaders and start the exciting student program of the Welcome Week. Your student will be engaged all through the Labor Day weekend (August 29-September 2).

PARKING NOTICE

Hofstra University is pleased to have the public join us for some of our on-campus events, which are held for the benefit of our students. Please be aware, when attending events during the school year, when classes are in session, parking is often limited on South Campus to faculty and students. There is additional parking available on North Campus, approximately a 10-minute walk from Adams Playhouse, through the Student Center and over the unispan. Thank you for your cooperation.
