Kyogen Demonstration and Workshop with members of the Yamamoto Tojiro Kyogen Company

Members of the Yamamoto Tojiro Kyōgen Company will perform kyōgen, the traditional comic theater of Japan.  The Yamamoto Kyōgen Company carries on the ancient tradition of performance for samurai clans established by the Tokugawa Shogun.  The current head has been awarded the Order of the Rising Sun with Gold and Silver Rays by the Emperor of Japan (2012) and designated as an Intangible Cultural Asset.
