New Student Summer Orientation -- Week 4

Your Hofstra journey begins at New Student Orientation! New Student Orientation is a three-day, two-night program where all students stay overnight on campus and get their first glimpse of life at Hofstra. Transfer students are offered a one-day orientation experience and should visit the Transfer Orientation webpage for more information about their specific program. During the both programs, you will learn about Hofstra's curriculum and campus resources, tour the campus, meet faculty and staff, and begin to develop lifelong friendships with other new students. First-year students will also register for fall classes at New Student Orientation. We look forward to welcoming you to the Hofstra Pride at summer orientation!

New Student Summer Orientation is only for new students and only if they register.

Check-in begins at 8:45 a.m. at the Netherlands Complex, North Campus, on Tuesdays. Students traveling from a distance may request to check in on Monday. Check-in on Monday begins after 6 p.m. and must be requested by e-mail after you receive your New Student Orientation confirmation. Please use your Hofstra email address and email to request early check-in.

Orientation is completed on Thursday afternoon after each student registers for classes and then checks out of the Netherlands Complex. Advisement appointments are on Thursday are scheduled through 5 p.m. Please do not make any travel arrangements until you receive printed materials about New Student Orientation, sign up for dates, and receive an email confirmation for the dates you have been assigned.

PARKING NOTICE

Hofstra University is pleased to have the public join us for some of our on-campus events, which are held for the benefit of our students. Please be aware, when attending events during the school year, when classes are in session, parking is often limited on South Campus to faculty and students. There is additional parking available on North Campus, approximately a 10-minute walk from Adams Playhouse, through the Student Center and over the unispan. Thank you for your cooperation.
