Earth Day: Local Change for a Sustainable Planet: Sustainability at Hofstra (A Deliberative Dialogue)
Deliberative Dialogues are hosted to find solutions and compromises for challenging ideas in a civil way. Join moderator David Hoffman, associate professor, School of Public Affairs, New York Civic Forum, Baruch College, City University of New York, and other students for a discussion on how to make the Hofstra campus more sustainable and how long it will take to achieve the proposed goals.
This event is part of the Center for Civic Engagement's annual Earth Day event series. Student clubs, community partners, academic departments, and environmental activists will gather together to celebrate and affirm the power of local action in the face of mounting evidence of our planet being in great peril. Join CCE on the quad during Common Hour for tabling and musical performances.
