Visiting Artist Trudy Benson

Trudy Benson, whose paintings have been favorably reviewed in The New York Times, Artforum, and ARTnews, among others, will share insights about her craft and successful career in a special presentation hosted by the Department of Fine Arts, Design, Art History. This visiting artist program will take place Wednesday, March 13, 3-5 p.m., Calkins Hall, room 115.

Benson earned an MFA from the Pratt Institute and lives and works in Brooklyn.  Her work has been featured in exhibitions at Lyles & King on Manhattan’s lower East side; Team Bungalow in Venice, CA; Galerie Bernard Ceysson in Luxembourg; and Ribordy Contemporary, Geneva.  Recent projects in Manhattan galleries include Spooky Action at a Distance at the Half Gallery; Shapes of Things at the Lisa Cooley Gallery on the lower East side; and Post-Analog Painting, a group show, at The Hole in NoHo.
