Black Excellence Speaker Fred Banny
The Black Student Union and the Hofstra Cultural Center present Fred Banny, Black Excellence Speaker. Fred P. Banny III is a husband, social entrepreneur, TEDx speaker, leadership coach, and mentor whose passion is to activate people to purpose.
He has spent the last ten years traveling and teaching leaders in business, education, and faith. Well-known for his candid messages, Fred often addresses the critical issues that affect every aspect of human, professional, leadership, social, and spiritual development.
Having survived two brutal Liberian Civil Wars and immigrating to the United States, Fred pursued an education in Construction Engineering with the dream of returning to rebuild his war-‐torn nation. Fred’s passion to restore nations after destruction soon evolved into a passion to restore people, specifically men, to their intended places as servant leaders in their families and communities.
To that end, Fred founded Conversations with Kings (CWK) - an initiative dedicated to developing boys into men and men into leaders of impact and influence. With an unwavering belief that in the right environment, anyone can activate the leader within, Fred creates safe spaces and supportive environments where men can be vulnerable and equipped with proven life principles, perspectives, and resources.
Fred is an ordained minister and lives in Long Island, NY with his wife and purpose partner, Cordelia.
In collaboration with the NOAH Scholars Program and Intercultural Engagement and Inclusion (IEI).
