Zarb Executive Speaker Series: Global Finance Leaders Who Build for the Future with Ronald South and Giuseppe Soccodato

Frank G. Zarb School of Business presents Executive Speaker Series: Global Finance Leaders Who Build for the Future with Ronald South and Giuseppe Soccodato. Ronald South is vice president of corporate finance and chief accounting officer at Henry Schein, the largest distributor of health care products and services to office-based practitioners in North America, Europe, and Australia (sales of $12.5 billion in 2017). Giuseppe Soccodato is global chief financial officer at Rubie’s Costume Co. Inc., the world’s leading costume designer and manufacturer, with 2,000 employees worldwide, four production facilities, and six warehouses in more than 15 countries.

The discussion will be moderated by the Executive Director of Graduate Business Career Relations, Frank G. Zarb School of Business. 

The lecture is open to Hofstra students and alumni, as well as non-Hofstra students and employers.

About Giuseppe Soccodato
A New York City native, Giuseppe (Joe) Soccodato graduated (Cum Laude) from LIU/CW Post with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, and he is a Certified Public Accountant in New York. Joe began his career at KPMG, where he specialized in retail and distribution clients.  In his over 25 year career after leaving public accounting, Joe has helped lead his past companies through significant expansion and profitable growth, and he was instrumental in guiding them through a variety of monumental events, including a public offering, a sale to a strategic buyer, as well as a sale to a private equity firm.  He has also served on several banking panels in the past, discussing a variety of topics, such as “Business in China” and “Trading Across Borders”.  Joe is currently the Global Chief Financial Officer of Rubie's Costume Company, the world's largest designer, manufacturer and distributor of Halloween costumes, accessories, holiday products, and party supplies.  A family owned business since 1951, Rubie’s has over 2,000 employees and offices in 15 countries.

Previous experience: Bristol-Myers Squibb 2000-2008: Various senior finance and accounting roles; PepsiCo 1998-2000: Director of Internal Audit; Price Waterhouse 1983-1998: Various advisory roles; specialized in international mergers and acquisitions; Experience included advising clients for 3 years in Barcelona and 3 years in Prague.
