QTPOCC Is There Any Hope for the Media?

QTPOCC will offer critiques of media representation of QTPOCC and other marginalized people and answer the question "Is there hope for the media?"

The Queer & Trans People of Color Coalition strives to create a safe space conducive for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer/questioning (LGBTQ+) people of color and their allies to have proactive discussions about the intersectionality of race, gender, and queerness and about how those identities impact the navigation of LGBTQ+ people of color in our society. Through the educational programming, internal and external advocacy work, and collaborative efforts with The Pride Network and The Gender Identity Federation, the Queer & Trans People of Color Coalition will address implicit and explicit biases and empower students with the tools to enact positive change in their school and in their communities.
