Hofstra Symphony Orchestra

The Hofstra Music Department presents The Hofstra Symphony Orchestra with Adam Glaser, director performing Música inspirada en España y Latinoamérica (Music Inspired by Spain and Latin America). Featuring the Hofstra Chamber Orchestra. 

Bernstein: “Mambo” from West Side Story

Bizet: Carmen Suites No. 1 and No. 2

Gottschalk: Souvenir de Porto Rico

Márquez: Danzón No. 2

Revueltas: “Baile” from Homage to Federico García Lorca

Still: “Tamborito” from Danzas de Panama

 

Members of the Hofstra community receive two free tickets upon presentation of a current HofstraCard. Tickets: $10; $8 senior citizen or matriculated non-Hofstra student with ID. For tickets and information call the Hofstra Box Office at 516-463-6644, or purchase tickets online. If seats are still available on the day of performance, tickets will be sold at the door starting 90 minutes prior to show time at the theater box office window. (Please note that free Hofstra community tickets cannot be purchased online - they can be picked up at the Box Office.)

PARKING NOTICE

Hofstra University is pleased to have the public join us for some of our on-campus events, which are held for the benefit of our students. Please be aware, when attending events during the school year, when classes are in session, parking is often limited on South Campus to faculty and students. There is additional parking available on North Campus, approximately a 10-minute walk from Adams Playhouse, through the Student Center and over the unispan. Thank you for your cooperation.
