Long Island Youth Safety Coalition Conference: Stop the Violence

Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas is proud to announce that this year's youth safety conference will focus on violence. Violence comes in many forms and we are focusing on the two that have dominated our headlines; school schootings and violence against women. We are proud to announce that our keynote is Don McPherson, the renowned Activist, Educator, Feminist, and College Football Hall of Famer. His work on youth safety and especially men's violence against women is legendary. There will be leading speakers and youth on the gun issue as well as over 10 extremely informational workshops and resources of practical value to teachers and youth workers. The conference will take place on Thursday, December 13th, 2018 in the Sondra and David S. Mack Student Center on Hofstra University's North Campus from 8:30 am - 3:30 pm. Includes registration, continental breakfast, and catered lunch.

The keynote speaker, Don McPherson, will discuss Stop the Violence Against Women during the morning session. He will be introduced by Madeline Singas, the Nassau County DA.

Social work, mental health and education CEU and CTLE credits will be available. *Payment can be made here via Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard only), or via check and purchase order payable to Hofstra University, or by phone at (516) 463-5750, fax (516) 463- 6006.
