Daughters of Destiny

Please Join Zucker School of Medicine’s Global Health Club and Northwell Health’s Center for Global Health for a screening of select footage from the documentary Daughters of Destiny, followed by a discussion with special guests, Dr. Abraham George, founder of the Shanti Bhavan School & Vanessa Roth, director of the documentary.  This Emmy award winning NETFLIX documentary follows several children from impoverished and stigmatized families, as they grow up with opportunities their families never dreamed of as a result of attending the Shanti Bhavan School, which has produced a generation of engineers, lawyers, scientists and journalists.  October 30, 2018, 6:30 p.m., Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, Room W136 & W165 Lounge.  All are welcome.  There is no fee to attend.  RSVP required at  https://hofstra.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5bwVNju6GHgCAOp
