Women's Basketball vs. Towson University

Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) action enters the back half of the season, as Hofstra is set to meet Towson for the second time this season on Friday, February 8 at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex. Tip-off is set for 7:00 pm. The game will be Hofstra's annual Play4Kay Think Pink game and all fans are encouraged to wear pink while the team wears pink jerseys. In addition, the game will kick off Alumnae Weekend for the women's basketball program.

Both the Tigers (12-8, 6-3 CAA) and the Pride are coming off two-straight losses, as Hofstra (7-14, 1-8 CAA) fell to UNCW and Charleston this past weekend, while Towson dropped an overtime decision to James Madison and to William & Mary the week before.

Senior guard Boogie Brozoski and junior guard Ana Hernandez Gil combined for 36 points, but Hofstra fell to Towson on Sunday, January 13 at the SECU Arena, 92-68. Brozoski led the Pride with 19 points (7-of-15 FG) including a 3-of-5 effort from behind the arc. In addition to her scoring, Brozoski tied for a team-high three assists with junior forward Marianne Kalin led Hofstra on the boards with seven. Hernandez Gil reached double figures for the ninth time this season, netting 17 points on 60 percent shooting (6-of-10) from the field and a 50 percent performance beyond the arc (3-of-6). Kionna Jeter led three Tigers in double figures with 29 points (11-of-21 FG) with five three pointers, while Qierra Murray added 14 and Nukiya Mayo tallied 11.
