Men's Basketball vs. Cal State Fullerton

The Hofstra Men's Basketball team will return to the court on Wednesday after a much-needed rest when the Pride hosts Cal State Fullerton. Tip-off from the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex is scheduled for 7 p.m. Following a season-opening stretch that saw Hofstra play four games in eight days to open the season, the Pride has been off since last Friday.

The game will feature two of the top players in the nation and former high school teammates in Hofstra's Justin Wright-Foreman and Fullerton's Kyle Allman Jr. Before the duo embarked on record-breaking collegiate careers they were classmates at Queens' High School for Construction.

Hofstra is 2-2 this season with wins over Mount St. Mary's and North Carolina A&T and close losses on the road to Marshall and Maryland. In the Pride's last game, senior Wright-Foreman led the team with 27 points, while also tying for team-high honors with five rebounds and knocking down 11-12 from the charity stripe. Hofstra got a nice boost from junior Tareq Coburn who had 10 points, marking his career-high, while junior Eli Pemberton also added 10 points in the contest.

Wright-Foreman is averaging a robust 25.8 points per game this season to lead the team. He is joined in double figures by Pemberton with 16.5 points per outing and senior Desure Buie with 10.3. Buie and Wright-Foreman lead the team with 15 assists this year, while Pemberton is tops on the squad with 6.0 rebounds per outing.

Cal State Fullerton is 2-3 this season and is coming off an 87-63 win over Monmouth on Sunday. The Titans are led in scoring by Khalil Ahmad with 23.4 points per contest, while Kyle Allman is second with 17.5 points per game. Jackson Rowe leads the way with 6.3 rebounds per game and Austen Awosika has a team-high 24 assists.

This is the first-ever meeting between Hofstra and Fullerton.
