Men's Basketball vs. Siena

The Hofstra Men's Basketball team will begin a key stretch during its non-conference schedule that will see the Pride play three of its next four games at home starting with Wednesday's contest against Siena. Tip-off from the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex is slated for 7 p.m.

Hofstra (3-3) returns to action after a narrow 69-67 overtime road loss at VCU on Saturday. The Pride battled back from a 13-point halftime deficit as senior Justin Wright-Foreman led the team with 27 points, while graduate student Jacquil Taylor notched a career-high 17 rebounds. The Pride's next four games will include a Saturday road game at Kennesaw State before returning home for home games against Monmouth (December 5) and Rider (December 8). Hofstra has seven non-conference games remaining with the Kennesaw State game the only one left not being played in the New York metro area. Wright-Foreman is leading the team with 27.9 points per game and 4.2 assists per contest. Taylor is tops on the roster with eight rebounds per game.

Siena is 2-4 on the year and has dropped its last three outings, most recently an 84-79 loss to Colgate on Saturday. Jalen Pickett leads the Saints with 15.3 points and 36 assists. Evan Fisher is second with 13.5 points and leads the team with 5.7 rebounds per contest.

Hofstra is 5-3 all-time against Siena. The teams first met during the 1976-77 campaign with Hofstra earning a 96-88 victory in the first-ever meeting. The schools have played in each of the last three seasons and in four of the past five years. The Pride will look to avenge an 85-76 loss in Albany last season.
