Zucker School of Medicine presents When a Doctor becomes a Patient
Join us for a special dramatic presentation of When a Doctor Becomes a Patient, by Dr. Nancy Rappaport, a child and adolescent psychiatrist and associate professor at Harvard Medical School, as well as author and actor of her one-woman play, Regeneration, which details her medical journey with breast cancer. Hear from Dr. Rappaport and the Zucker School of Medicine’s own Dr. David Elkowitz, associate dean and associate professor of science education at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, as they discuss their respective cancer diagnoses and learn how they coped with the transition from doctor to patient.
