International Student Orientation

All new international students must attend the required International Student Orientation, which provides students with information on immigration, academic requirements, including all the numerous services available to assist students make the most of their educational experience at Hofstra. Trips and events are scheduled during the week of orientation to acclimate new students to the campus as well as the local community. International Student Orientation will take place Monday, August 27th - Wednesday, August 29th, followed by Welcome Week activities from Thursday, August 30th - Monday, September 3rd. Detailed information about orientation will be emailed to accepted students. Please note that international students are allowed to enter the U.S. no more than 30 days prior to the program start date listed on their I-20.

If you will be living on campus, the official day for new international students to move into the residence halls is Sunday, August 26 between the hours of 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. To request a place to live on campus, students must pay the housing deposit and complete the housing application. Questions regarding on-campus housing should be directed to the Office of Residence Life.

PARKING NOTICE

Hofstra University is pleased to have the public join us for some of our on-campus events, which are held for the benefit of our students. Please be aware, when attending events during the school year, when classes are in session, parking is often limited on South Campus to faculty and students. There is additional parking available on North Campus, approximately a 10-minute walk from Adams Playhouse, through the Student Center and over the unispan. Thank you for your cooperation.
