Hofstra Symphony Orchestra

The Hofstra Music Department presents The Hofstra Symphony Orchestra performing American Voices: A Concert to Honor Our Veterans with Adam Glaser, director, and featuring the Hofstra Chamber Orchestra and works by Chadwick, Copland, Dello Joio, Gould, and Persichetti. Musical performances will be accompanied by brief excerpts from non-musical works, including T.S. Eliot’s poem “The Hollow Men” and a  monologue from Thornton Wilder’s play “Our Town” performed by students from the Department of English and the Department of Drama and Dance.

Location: Toni and Martin Sosnoff Theater, John Cranford Adams Playhouse, South Campus

Tickets: $10 general admission; $8 senior citizen (over 65); Two free tickets with current HofstraCard. 

Tickets may be purchased through the Hofstra Box Office at 516-463-6644, online or at the door. (Please note, free tickets for Hofstra community members cannot be reserved online. They may be picked up at the Box Office.) 

Fall 2018 performances are on sale beginning August 30. Unless a performance is sold out, tickets are also available for purchase at the door (by cash or check only) beginning at least 60 minutes before showtime.

PARKING NOTICE

Hofstra University is pleased to have the public join us for some of our on-campus events, which are held for the benefit of our students. Please be aware, when attending events during the school year, when classes are in session, parking is often limited on South Campus to faculty and students. There is additional parking available on North Campus, approximately a 10-minute walk from Adams Playhouse, through the Student Center and over the unispan. Thank you for your cooperation.
