The American Chamber Ensemble (ACE) Concert: A Tribute to Debussy: 100 Years Later

The Hofstra Music Department presents The American Chamber Ensemble (ACE) Concert with Marilyn Lehman, director. Featuring special guest artist, Stanley Drucker, clarinet and Eriko Sato and Deborah Wong, violin; Lois Martin, viola; Chris Finckel, cello and Marilyn Lehman, piano. Selections for this concert will be Debussy’s La fille aux cheveux de lin, Il pleure dans mon Coeur and Golliwog’s Cakewalk for violin and piano, L’isle joyeuse for solo piano, a movement from his Trio in G Major for violin, cello and piano, Premiere Rhapsodie for clarinet and piano, the Cello Sonata in G Major for cello and piano and two movements of his String Quartet. ACE will also present Henri Vieuxtemp’s Elegie for viola and piano and Saint-Saens’ Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso for violin and piano.

Location:  The Helene Fortunoff Theater, Monroe Lecture Center, California Avenue, South Campus

Tickets: $20 general admission; $15 senior citizen (over 65) or matriculated non-Hofstra student with ID; Two free tickets with current HofstraCard. 

Tickets may be purchased through the Hofstra Box Office at 516-463-6644, online or at the door. (Please note, free tickets for Hofstra community members cannot be reserved online. They may be picked up at the Box Office.) 

Fall 2018 performances are on sale beginning August 30. Unless a performance is sold out, tickets are also available for purchase at the door (by cash or check only) beginning at least 60 minutes before showtime.
