The Uncertain Suburbs: Trump, Congress, and Swing Voters -- Immigration Policy in the Suburbs

Immigration policy has been a focal point for public debate from the first week of the Trump presidency to the present. These policies increasingly affect the suburbs, which have now serve as the gateways for many immigrant groups. How have executive actions, failed congressional negotiations, and the uncertain status of “sanctuary” cities and suburbs affected the lives of immigrants? How are immigrant advocates responding to this uncertain environment?

This is the second of three panel discussions on April 17 entitled The Uncertain Suburbs: Trump, Congress, and Swing Voters and presented by Peter S. Kalkow Center for the Study of the American Presidency and the National Center for Suburban Studies at Hofstra University®
