Medicine in Theater Event: Prescription Drug Abuse: Confronting the Opioid Crisis

Join us for a dramatic read of Act III of Eugene O’Neill’s Long Day’s Journey into Night, performed by medical students and physician members of the Osler Society’s Medicine in Theater Group, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Samuel Packer.  Panelists include physicians, lawyers, Hofstra Law students, Zucker School of Medicine students. Participate in a discussion of the ethical, legal and practical issues raised by the Opioid Crisis for the medical community.

All are welcome.  There is no fee to attend.  Refreshments will be served.

Open to all faculty, students, and staff of Northwell Health, Hofstra University, and the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
