AlphaGo film screening

AlphaGo chronicles a journey from the backstreets of Bordeaux, past the coding terminals of Google Deepmind, to Seoul, where a legendary Go master faces an unproven Artificial Intelligence (AI) challenger. As the drama unfolds, questions emerge: What can AI reveal about a 3,000-year-old game? What will it teach us about humanity?

Dr. Simona Doboli, professor of computer science and director of the Computer Engineering program at Hofstra University, introduces the film.
