Young Children's Socio-moral Cognitions and Behaviors: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

The Hofstra Department of Psychology is pleased to present a colloquium presentation by Dr. Erin Baker, Assistant Professor of Educational and Counseling Psychology at the University at Albany, on Friday December 8, at 2 p.m. in 109 Hauser Hall.

Dr. Baker's research focuses on children’s capacity to reason about peers -- their thoughts, actions, and beliefs -- and how this capacity undergoes substantial development in the preschool years, which influences how children choose to engage with peers. In her talk, Dr. Baker will discuss some developing research examining how children integrate cognition and emotion to make decisions about peers, peer relationships, and moral behaviors.
