Hofstra Women's Basketball vs. UNCW

The Hofstra Women's Basketball team returns home at 1 p.m. on Sunday to host Colonial Athletic Association opponent UNCW at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex. The Pride will be looking to get back in the win column after dropping a pair of conference games on the road last weekend to James Madison and William & Mary. Junior Boogie Brozoski led Hofstra on Sunday against the Tribe with 16 points, while also chipping in three steals. She has now scored in double figures in six of her past eight games.
UNCW has yet to muster a win in conference play, dropping nine straight heading into its matchup with Northeastern on Friday night. Lacey Suggs leads the team with 13.0 points per game, while Jenny DeGraaf leads on the glass with 7.8 rebounds per game.
Hofstra holds a 19-14 advantage in the all-time series with UNCW, including a win in Wilmington on Jan. 7. The Seahawks used a fast start to take a 18-8 lead over Hofstra after the first quarter, but the Pride clawed its way back to shave the deficit to two points at halftime. Hofstra dominated the second half for the 69-61 comeback victory. Brozoski led the team with 18 points, all in the second half, while Ashunae Durant put up 17 and Aleana Leon added 10. Suggs led UNCW with 18 points.
