Hofstra Women's Basketball vs. Delaware

The Hofstra Women's Basketball team will open a four-game homestand with a 7 p.m. tilt against Colonial Athletic Association foe Delaware on Friday at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex. The Pride (8-7, 2-2 CAA) earned a pair of road wins last weekend, topping Charleston, 75-60, and UNCW, 69-61. Junior Boogie Brozoski was named CAA Player of the Week after a pair of career performances, recording her first career double-double with 16 points and 10 assists on Friday before posting a career-high 18 points on Sunday. Senior Olivia Askin went an impressive 6-for-6 from three-point range on Friday, while classmate Ashunae Durant dropped 17 points on Sunday. Senior Aleana Leon finished in double figures in both wins.
Delaware (9-5, 2-1 CAA) has been strong thus far this season under new head coach Natasha Adair, going 7-4 in non-conference play and opening the season with a 2-1 CAA mark. The Blue Hens fell to Drexel in the conference opener before upsetting defending CAA champion Elon and taking down Charleston.  Nicole Enabosi, averaging a double-double, leads the league in both scoring (19.9 points per game) and rebounding (12.0 rebounds per game).
Friday's contest will be the 70th all-time meeting between Hofstra and Delaware, with the Blue Hens holding a commanding 57-12 advantage in the all-time series, including taking both games last season.
Hofstra stays at home on Sunday, hosting Charleston at 2 p.m. for Alumnae Day.
