Hofstra Women's Basketball vs. Siena

After three games away from the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex, the Hofstra Women's Basketball team returns on Monday to host Siena at 7 p.m. The Pride (4-3) picked up its second straight win on Thursday night with an 86-81 double-overtime victory at Sacred Heart. Four Hofstra players finished in double figures, with seniors Ashunae Durant (23 points, 12 rebounds) and Aleana Leon (12 points, 12 rebounds) picking up double-doubles. Classmate Olivia Askin dropped 16 points, while sophomore E'Lexus Davis posted a career-high 19, including nine in the second overtime to help push the Pride over the Pioneers.

Siena (3-4) comes into Monday's matchup after falling to Rutgers, 59-47, on Saturday. The Saints have wins over St. Bonaventure, Howard and Colgate, with its other three losses coming at the hands of Penn State, Harvard and Florida Gulf Coast. Kollyns Scarborough, who was a preseason All-MAAC selection, leads Siena with 16 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. The Saints were predicted to finish eighth in the MAAC according to the conference's preseason poll.
This will be the sixth meeting between the Pride and the Saints. Siena holds a narrow 3-2 advantage in the all-time series. The teams haven't met since the 1993-94 season, when the Saints took a 76-72 win in Hempstead.
The Pride goes back on the road Thursday, heading to local rival Iona for a 7 p.m. contest.
