Hofstra Men's Basketball vs. UNCW

The Hofstra Men's Basketball team will step back in time on Thursday when the team dons 1950s-era uniforms for a special Throwback Thursday game against UNCW. Thursday's game will tip-off at 7 p.m. and be played at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex rather than Calkins Gymnasium, since Calkins Gymnasium is now Calkins Hall and houses a multitude of various administrative offices and academic classrooms and offices.

There are a bunch of great promotions on Thursday too!
- Vintage t-shirts for the first 200 fans
- All fans who were born in the 1950s or graduated from Hofstra in the 1950s will receive a free ticket to the game (if they already have a ticket, it can be used for a future game)
- Free food for the first 300 students, sponsored by The Greene Turtle
- The student with the best 1950s costume or outfit will win $500 on their Hofstra meal card
- There will be FREE popcorn and cotton candy during the first half of the game (while supplies last).
- The Hofstra Bookstore will be on hand and selling various 1950s-era items including: t-shirts, key chains, sweatshirts, hats, signs and mugs.
- There will be a 1950s-era performance from the Hofstra Dance Team
- Trivia during the game with winners earning throwback prizes

The Flying Dutchmen bring a 13-9 overall record and a 6-4 Colonial Athletic Association mark into Thursday's meeting with UNCW. The Pride captured a 64-59 win over Delaware in its last game on Saturday.

UNCW is 7-15 overall and 4-6 in the league after a narrow 84-81 loss to William & Mary on Saturday.
