Hofstra Men's Basketball vs. Northeastern

The Hofstra Men's Basketball team will host Northeastern on Thursday as the conference standings begin to heat up. Hofstra (12-8, 5-3 CAA) will look to get back on track after seeing its three-game win streak come to an end in a narrow road loss, 76-70, to Colonial Athletic Association preseason favorite Charleston on Saturday. Junior Justin Wright-Foreman led the way with 26 points for the Pride, while junior Desure Buie added seven points, five assists and five rebounds and senior Rokas Gustys tallied 10 points and eight rebounds. 

Three players average in double figures for Hofstra right now as Wright-Foreman leads the team with 25.1 points per game, sophomore Eli Pemberton is second with 15.2 points per contest and Gustys is averaging a double-double with 10.1 points and 11.5 rebounds per outing. 

Northeastern is 13-7 and sits in first place in the CAA with a 6-2 league mark. The Huskies enter Thursday having won three straight, including a 76-64 win over Delaware on Saturday. Vasa Pusica is first on the team with 15.8 points per game and Shawn Occeus is second with 10.9 points per outing. 


Tip-off from the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex is scheduled for 7 p.m.
