Attaining Cultural Competency in Transgender Healthcare

Join Dr. David Rosenthal, medical director of the Center for Transgender Care, for a discussion and Q&A focusing on the medical challenges that face the LGBTQ+ community, and learn how physicians and other health care providers can provide meaningful and effective health care and a safe environment for LGBTQ+ patients. The program will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a special tour and reception of the art exhibit, Converging Voices:  Gender and Identity, Emily Lowe Gallery,  Hofstra University (South Campus), to be immediately followed with a discussion led by Dr. Rosenthal at the Leo A. Guthart Cultural Center Theater (base of Axinn Library), Hofstra University.  Open to all students, faculty and staff of Northwell Health, Hofstra University and Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell; no fee to attend.
