Hofstra Jazz Ensemble: The Annual Peter B. Clark Memorial Scholarship Fund Concert

Hofstra Department of Music presents the Hofstra Jazz Ensemble performing in the The Annual Peter B. Clark Memorial Scholarship Fund Concert. The Hofstra Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Professor David Lalama, presents Singers Unlimited: The American Songbook. Special guest performers include Dr. Leon Petruzzi on lead trumpet, The Hofstra Singers and the Hofstra Vocal Jazz Quartet under the direction of Matthew Ho.

Gershwin’s “Strike Up The Band”; Louis Prima’s “Sing, Sing, Sing”; “Over the Rainbow” by Harold Arlen; Stevie Wonder’s “I Just Called to Say ‘I Love You’”; “Round Midnight” by Thelonious Monk; and Cole Porter’s “You’d Be So Nice to Come Home To” are among the classic songs that will be performed.

Tickets: $10 general admission; $8 senior citizen (over 65) and non-Hofstra students with ID; Two free tickets with current HofstraCard.
