Virtual Mid-Year Senior Class and Graduate Toast and Celebration

The Senior Class Toast is a chance to gather your family and raise a glass to the Class of 2020 alongside President Rabinowitz, faculty, staff, and of course, your fellow graduates. The toast will be live-streamed on the Hofstra University Facebook Page and YouTube Channel beginning at 6 p.m. on December 9th.

We are disappointed to announce that the 2020 December commencement ceremony will be cancelled, and all students who complete their degree during the 2020-21 academic year will celebrate their commencement in May of 2021. Since event guidelines still do not allow for large indoor gatherings, we are postponing all commencement celebrations until May of 2021, when we hope to resume live commencement celebrations.

December graduates will still receive their formal diploma approximately 8-12 weeks after their coursework is completed.

The virtual ceremony will be broadcast on Hofstra’s Facebook and YouTube pages at:

Here are instructions if, while you are watching, you’d like to comment on the broadcast and share your well wishes with the graduates and their families:

Hofstra University is pleased to have the public join us for some of our on-campus events, which are held for the benefit of our students. Please be aware, when attending events during the school year, when classes are in session, parking is often limited on South Campus to faculty and students. There is additional parking available on North Campus, approximately a 10-minute walk from Adams Playhouse, through the Student Center and over the unispan. Thank you for your cooperation.
