The Art of Journaling

Learn how to journal for your well-being and as a witness to your own life. Join us for a fun, multimedia inspired workshop with award-winning author and “journal-ist” Martha McPhee with best practices for creating a journal that expresses your inner creativity and resilience. Martha McPhee is the author of the novels An Elegant Woman (forthcoming in June 2020), Bright Angel Time, Gorgeous Lies, L’America, and Dear Money. She is the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts grant and a fellowship from the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation. Gorgeous Lies was a finalist for the National Book Award. She teaches fiction at Hofstra University and lives in New York City.

Hofstra University is pleased to have the public join us for some of our on-campus events, which are held for the benefit of our students. Please be aware, when attending events during the school year, when classes are in session, parking is often limited on South Campus to faculty and students. There is additional parking available on North Campus, approximately a 10-minute walk from Adams Playhouse, through the Student Center and over the unispan. Thank you for your cooperation.
