NPHW 2020: Birth Equity Concerns during the COVID-19 Pandemic

This virtual panel discussion will analyze the challenges COVID-19 has placed on maintaining birth equity. A number of topics will be addressed, including the impact of physical isolation and scarcity of healthcare resources on expectant mothers during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Additionally, the implications of recent changes in the availability of perinatal services will be considered. Three experts in the field of perinatal health will provide insight about the nature of these challenges and their influence on perinatal mental, emotional, and physical health. This event will also share information about perinatal resources currently available, and how to go about accessing these resources.

Free and open to the public.
