AIA/LIS Lecture Series: New Thoughts on the Invention of the Wheel - Copper Mining in the Carpathian Mountains of Eastern Europe
This presentation sheds light on the earliest uses of wheeled vehicles. A case will be made for this important advancement in the history of transportation. It will be presented by Richard W. Bulliet, Professor Emeritus of Middle Eastern History at Columbia University.
Presented by the Archaeological Institute of America, in collaboration with the Hofstra Department of Anthropology and the Hofstra Cultural Center.
